Are there any cooking classes here at all? We probably don't have a lot of food around, so a cooking class sounds wrong on one level, but on another it could be about making the things we have taste good. Right?

I'm still not used to this place, it's been months too. I think there isn't as much urgency to leave now, though. I don't know if this is a good thing, being satisfied with this place.
